Thanks for the link.

Ramen is a type of noodle the Japanese made famous after bringing it back from China. The brand Ramen has bastardized what is otherwise a very healthy food. Try Kenzo on Dundas and Bay in Toronto which only serves fresh ramen noodles. Service is not great but the food is excellent.

The Ramen profitable concept is interesting because it realizes that owner managers need to be paid (even a little bit). A common error for start-ups is they don't budget their own draw-however modest- and they come to resent a business that is not paying them.

Mike: you should try it! It's a small brick of dried noodles that you put in a pot of boiling water, add a small packet of powder to and it makes a bowl of noodle soup. Kinda like asian kraft dinner.

Since it's tasty and easy to make, it's a stereotypical bachelor / student meal.

It's heavily processed and fairly unhealthy (very high sodium), so it isn't good for you to eat it very often.

Interesting term. Although I've heard of Ramen quite a bit I've never actually had it. Is it just noodles?
